First Love Poem on Blog

Blogged By: Low Hang Wei @ October 31st, 2006 - 10:33 pm

Actually, I wanted to post about my outing to Sentosa last Saturday, but I still have not saved the pictures to my computer, so I decided to post something else. When I was in Primary school, I love writing poems and just suddenly felt like composing poems again, so this is what you will get in this post.

I was young and innocent leading a simple life
And never for once had I thought of leaving this hive.
Until you entered my life, turning it around
At that moment, I thought, my girl was found.

I always thought you were just a normal girl
Yet you controlled my feelings and made my heart stir.
I never knew I would love you this deep
That with you around, there’s nothing else I need.

I mustered my courage, asking you out
I was surprised you told me to shut up.
Seconds later, you let out a joyful laugh
Then I knew your rejection was just a bluff.

Before we knew it, we went on our first date
I was glad I asked and didn’t just leave things to fate.
You are the sweetest girl I’ve ever seen
And wherever we went, you were so keen.

Your excitement was comparable to a little baby
Yet you carry yourself perfectly like a true lady.
The hours went by and the day came to an end.
I commented that this was my best time spent.

With a bit of shyness, you said the feeling was mutual
I was ecstatic, thinking that we have a great future.
With this wonderful day that we had with fate,
This is how I ended… my very first date.
