Henderson European Property Securities

Blogged By: Low Hang Wei @ July 6th, 2007 - 1:48 am

I just looked through my Mutual Funds portfolio and noticed something interesting. Out of seven funds that I am holding, only one has not turned a profit yet. It is even more interesting as I dug out my previous posts and noticed that I once blogged that this fund may be my worst performing fund. The post is over here: All Mutual Funds Processed and the fund is as the title says: Henderson European Property Securities.

For your convenience, here’s the exact sentence: ‘However, after buying the fund, I did further research that shows that perhaps this could be my worst fund purchase.’ Well… it turned out that I am right, with all the other funds that I am holding pulling in significant gains. I am now holding a fairly neutral view of this fund, since I feel that it may go either way. (I think that the chances are that its prices will start to rise slowly) I am not going to let go of the fund regardless, since I believe that at its current price, it should be good diversification for my portfolio.

In conclusion, I hold a neutral short-term outlook, but a positive long-term outlook for this fund.
