Time Value of Time

I first tried to post this about 4 hours before, but my internet connection went down just before I pressed the button to publish. As a result, I lost what I typed and got to retype everything now.
Anyway, I first thought of this ‘Time Value of Time’ concept when I was thinking of how much time I have wasted, especially in my primary and secondary school days. Now that I’m already in University at 22 years old, I have spent quite a lot of time unproductively. I’m sure many of you have heard about the ‘Time Value of Money’, which simply means that a dollar earned now is worth more than a dollar earned ten years later. This makes sense to most people, since ten years later, that dollar can’t buy as many things after factoring in inflation. Also, that dollar invested now will most likely be worth much more than a dollar after ten years. With that said about Time Value of Money, let’s go on to discuss Time Value of Time.
If there’s a time value to money and time is required to make money, then there should be a time value to time indirectly. In simple words, if you can make a million dollars today, it’s worth more than if you make it ten years later. If it takes 100,000 hours to make a million dollars, then it makes sense that the earlier you spent that 100,000 to make the million dollars, the more your million dollars is worth. Therefore, there’s a time value to time. There’s also a value to time besides time value, which is how much you can make with time. Adding it up, the total value of time consists of the time value plus the hourly rate that you can get with your time. That means that our time is really valuable and the more we spend our time unproductively, it’s almost delaying our success exponentially.
With that said, procrastination and laziness is still my number one enemy, therefore I got to work extremely hard to overcome my limiting beliefs. Maybe removing anime and manga from my life will help, yet there are more temptations in life than just that. I guess it’s all a matter of discipline, but I’m finally going back to Internet Marketing after being away from so long. Let’s see how my life journey will proceed.
P.S: I changed the category ‘Random Nonsense’ to ‘Random Thoughts’, since it’s not fair for me to brand my own words as nonsense right from the start. Whether it’s nonsense is for you to judge. :)
